In April and September, check-in and check-out can be self-service. We may not be physically present every day, but there will always be a simple and clear solution, so you can use the Pitch with peace of mind.

Tørring Camping & Å Café is uniquely located right by the Gudenåen and directly opposite Tørring Canoe Rental, where many guests from Silkeborg Canoe Center also start their trip on the Gudenåen. The Pitch’s location makes it ideal for hikers on the Gudenå Trail, cyclists, families, nature lovers, and guests who want to relax close to town, nature, and experiences.
From June 16 each year, the southernmost part of the Gudenåen opens for canoeing and kayaking from Tørring, making the Pitch especially attractive as a practical base before departure. Many guests choose to arrive the day before, so everything practical is in place before the trip starts.
When the day’s adventures are over, many also choose to stay an extra night after returning with the FREE Upstream Bus, which makes it easy to get back to Tørring in peak season. It’s a relaxed end to the experience, with the option of food, ice cream, a shower, downtime, and a peaceful night’s sleep before heading home the next day.
